My whole family loves this place! From the kids to the adults, no complaints about the delicious food. Attentive staff, great location to have a stroll after dinner or lunch, and lovely ambience. Get the table side pasta for an interactive dining experience.

Went to the North Beach Festival on Sunday (6/16) and found Acquolina wasn't too busy. We got a table inside which wasn't busy at all. Everyone was outside because it was a beautiful day. We started with the "Bruschetta Al Pomodoro". The chopped Roma tomatoes were so fresh and overall the Bruschetta was really good. We also got the "Deliziosa" pizza. It was big enough for the 2 of us to share and not be hungry afterwards. Very impressed by food that we got. I will be back and try the other dishes and another pizza for sure.

Acquolina exudes warmth and charm from the moment you step through its doors. The cozy ambiance, with soft lighting and rustic decor, immediately makes you feel welcomed. The waiters were attentive and friendly, as they frequently checked in to see how you're doing. They're knowledgeable about the dishes and happy to offer recommendations, ensuring that your dining experience is nothing short of exceptional. And of course, the star of the show: the food! I hope you're not lactose intolerant because I highly recommend getting the cheese wheel pasta. Prepared right at your table, it's a creamy concoction that creates a rich and indulgent sauce that coats each perfectly cooked noodle. The taste was not too salty and it was fun seeing them use a giant pepper grinder! The second item I highly recommend is their fresh pesto pasta. The noodles were perfectly al dente and the sauce was perfectly blended to a smooth, velvety texture. There was so much more I wanted to order and try, but that's going to be on my next visit!

Made a reservation for 5:30 pm during Friday of SF Restaurant Week and it got pretty lively in the restaurant as the night went on but I could still talk comfortably with my friend. They served our dishes efficiently and we were able to try a bunch of dishes from the special 45 dollar per person set menu. Frittura Calamari & Gamberi - The coating on the calamari was so thin where it added crispiness but didn't overpower the seafood with batter. The seafood was the perfect amount of bite and I liked their assortment of seafood that worked well with the sauce that added a tangy sweetness to the dish. Tagliere Toscano - My friend ordered this appetizer and we liked their assortment of hard and soft cheeses as well as the prosciutto and salami. They also had honey on the side which added some sweetness and the cherry tomatoes for freshness. Ravioli Formaggi & Asparagi - The main entree I ordered and it was a good size. The cherry tomato and asparagus sauce was creamy and slightly sweet which was different. All the vegetables were cooked well and the ravioli itself was soft and the cheeses were creamy and nutty inside. Tiramisu - A solid tiramisu, had a touch of coffee taste to it making it not too strong and the layers were balanced. We loved being able to try a variety of dishes on their menu and enjoyed all of it. A nice Italian spot for dinner in Little Italy.

Great Italian food. Loved the pizza - Focaccia Caprese. Very simple and true to the core. Loved the assorted cheese in Toscano. Frittura calamari and Shrimp were superb. Nicely battered and fried shrimps and calamari. For the main I tried Spaghetti Fritti Di Mare - this was my first time trying clams and mussels. Not sure I loved it but I don't blame it on the restaurant. For the dessert there was Tiramisu - probably this was the only thing which stood out to be average. The ambience of this place is more around average. It's not a big place.

I made a reservation online a week before for a party of 6 and we were seated in the outdoor area. The servers gave us great recommendations! We started off with the spring mix salad and bruschetta. We decided on 3 pastas and 2 pizzas. My favorite was the Maiala (great for meat lovers)! I loved the combination of molinari Italian sausage with the classic tomato base. The pastas were perfectly al dente and also came with a cheese wheel show! Great spot if you're looking for a place to have a glass of wine accompanied with great food. -1 star because we had a hard time getting ahold of the server to refill our

===TL;DR=== - Pizzas: - Giorno & Sera - Bufalina - Maiala - Pastas: - Trofie al pesto - Antipasti: - Arancini siciliani - Frittura calamari e gamber - Fries - Drinks: - Espresso martini - Passion fruit mojito - Aperol Spritz - House red wine ===TMI=== When Tony's pizza has a 2 hour wait? Go across the street to Acquolina. They also serve pizza and Italian food. Came here with a big party during the intermission of a wedding. "Let's grab a bite" 100% turned into a meal. Everything was to die for. I'm not pizza crazy but pizzas here would be my favorite. I love thin crust pizzas, especially with simple but tasty ingredients (I miss pizza in Spain and this place brings me back). Thank goodness for friends because this was the first time I was introduced to arancini siciliani - literally a crunchy outer layer but a bite sized spaghetti inside! For those that want bit sized spaghetti, this is your appetizer! It was so fun to eat. The calamari was also superb but dangerous! Don't let that fool you as you're waiting for your main courses! Otherwise you might get too full. Oh, the espresso martini is a must get. I love anything coffee and they actually make it real good over here - none of that fake stuff. I'm glad we gave this place a try because now I have another place to go to for delicious meals!

Great restaurant located in the heart of North beach. They are a stone throw away from shopping, bars and Washington Square Park. It's a well lit space with lots of windows bringing in natural light. In the background, they play low tempo, smooth music with a few TVs for watching sports. We started off with their Mediterranean salad. It came out perfectly dressed and full of flavor and was the perfect size to split between 2 people. My entree was the pappardelle al Cinghiale. The pasta sauce had an interesting flavor. Carrots are mixed in, which adds a little bitterness to the savory meat sauce. This seems like a dependable pasta that won't have any surprise flavors that would throw someone off, but at the same time, no kick of flavor to make it exciting.
